Why would I only have two available restore points, both being from after this problem began? If my memory recalls properly, there would be several points, even a calandar that you can choose from. So perhaps this suggests its not the LCD? But after a few hours the laptop LCD would go crazy with colors and then freeze up the computer. Blue screen of death.

My Dell warranty is just barely expired, vostro 1400 video it was originally bought in the US and not here in Helsinki where I currently live. Display does not come on anymore. Blank Screen, with back light on.

So perhaps this suggests its not the LCD? As I am running out of time, I ordered a motherboard replacement, hopefully it will arrive by Friday and we can see if it is that. The LCD works well, this was intermitten for a day before it died completely. Brightness control is fine. Vostro backlit vide blank screen. I’m vlstro vostro 1400 video video chip is non-replacable?
Ok, I reinstalled the video drivers. Just something else thats a bit strange, that I thought I would vostro 1400 video.
Fan is working and reletively cleaned out. Vostro 1400 video Display; Get diplay, but is x, gravely distorted and when checking the video properties it says that there is none existant. I reseated all connectors and checked the motherboard.
As if none were attached.
Hello- I currently have a Dell Vostro and am having some problems with it. If I hook it up to an external monitor, I can get a display, although it is one of major distortion and drops to a resolution of x Yeah, I’ve checked vostro 1400 video connections inside.

So I’m assuming it is more than just a driver votsro. If it boots in safe mode, I can’t see it. Looks like I’m buying a new motherboard. I completely removed the LCD and checked it for any vostro 1400 video of damage and there were none.
And it seems almost directly related to heat. Is my only solution at this stage to replace my motherboard? Sounds like the video chip vostro 1400 video no card — to confirm, see if the same fault shows on vostro 1400 video external monitor. I don’t mind fixing vostro 1400 video issue myself, but I am at a loss of which it may be. When the laptop is running for long periods, it starts affecting the now external display.
The computer bots up no problem, but no display on the main screen. On the last time it dies, a warning briefly popped up saying that the video drivers were not working.
Just a black screen with the backlight on. I tried swapping the memory modules, and it didn’t change anything. When checking video card info, none show up. Thanks for all vostro 1400 video help, I guess my next move now is to just wait for the new board to arrive and see what happens then.
