AUDIO TECHNICA AT2020 USB ASIO DRIVER

First off, I am not a professional in this field. Only problem I’m having is that for some reason my codec splits it into two inputs, and the stereo input is considerably louder on the left channel than it is on the right. Worked great on my laptop until I updated it from Windows 7 to Windows With following a few simple rules on recording audio the results are excellent! It is clearly Win 8’s fault, as on my Mac Book it works great, so now I’m in kind of a strange setup where I do video on the PC with win 8 and simultaneously doing recording on the macbook and then syncing Thanks and best Regards.

Bought this microphone a few years ago and I love it. Hi, I asked technical service of Audio Technica and they said that if the Mic is working in Windows and Cubase without MX61 drivers then they see no problem with Mic or the drivers.

Thanks for sharing your experience. It still “works” but the recorded volume is extremely low. My microphone is recognized, but it’s VERY quiet.

I plugged it in USB and it works in windows but since all the inputs and outputs are set to MX61 in Cubase, how do i configure it in Cubase in order to record vocals. It shows in Device Manager as installed with an up to data driver but is not available as an Audio Input Source anywhere including in Cubase 7. I bought this mic, plugged it in and had an afternoon of low-quality, low-level recording issues in Audacity, Ableton Live and then Adobe Audition.

I replaced the small travel stand with a drum kick mic stand, which works great. Both of these drivers have as input port connections Realtec Microphone and as output port connections Realtec speakers Realtec is the audio card of my laptop.

As of now, the only option I see going forward is to revert back to Windows 7 or get new mics. Also Before I used Blue Snowball another not cheep usb mic, it got detected in win but was quite as you described, and after ramping up every possible thing to make it louder, sounds get distorted.

I record vocals and voice overs, and wanted a quality mic. The highs, the lows, and the mid ranges produce professional studio quality sound with a very sensitive response. I’ve found several references online of people having the same issue with Windows 8.

This microphone gives you clear sound with a minimum of fuss. It turns out it’s a windows driver issue, and audio-technica have completely failed to provide a replacement driver. There is no latency in the earphone jack as well.
